Hello,
My name is Dariya Roberts, and I am a sophomore at Penn State currently studying Mechanical Engineering.
I write music in my free time, and I’ve just recently started sharing it with others. No matter what is going on in my life, writing songs has always helped me find clarity. Many times, the best ways I can express my thoughts and emotions are through rap, and it’s really great to have the freedom to do that, if only just for fun. My favorite kind of songs are the ones that tell a story, and I try to do that in everything I write. Every song says a little something about me and what I’ve experienced. I like that when all put together on a place like SoundCloud, the people who listen gain a better grasp on who I am as a person. I definitely have a lot to learn about all of this, and I’m constantly striving for a more professional process and sound. However, while I’m only just getting started, I’m also very excited to keep creating and showing others my work.
