Biography: Kirti is a sophmore at Penn State University, double majoring in English and Arts. She is from India. Her work is based on the intersection between literature and visual art using self-portraiture as a mode of storytelling. Her work examines themes of limitation, imagination, and self-definition, often layering surrealism and symbolism on top of each other to unsettle notions of identity and freedom of art. Kirti’s artistic and literary pursuits are deeply intertwined, drawing inspiration from narrative structures, poetic imagery, and the emotional depth of written and visual storytelling. Kirti expands on their creative practice at PSU, working with on her artistic skills to find her voice and style in art. In her work, she invite viewers and readers to think about self and connect with her art that interconnect literature and art.
