KLIO Release Party 2024:

Join us for an exciting evening as we celebrate the incredible contributions to Klio! We’re hosting a release party on April 25th at ABBA JAVA, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This will be a great chance to engage in creative activities, socialize with other contributors and aficionados, and recognize the effort and commitment that have gone into Klio.

We’ll have complimentary snacks and refreshments to keep the evening lively and enjoyable. Whether you’re a contributor, a fan, or new to the community, we welcome you to come and share in the comments, achievements and inspirations!

Working at the center for arts and crafts:

Looking for Penn state students (art, art education, or education majors) to instruct art classes and workshops each semester

Cost:

  • Penn State student: $80 (must have valid Penn state student id)
  • Penn State faculty/staff membership: $110
  • Memberships are available for purchase in the main office, 3 Ritenour Building

Old main frame shop & gallery offers the largest collection of Penn state photographs, wall art, university merchandise and athletic photo prints. For more than 40 years, we have been serving the state college community with framing and consultation services for residential and corporate clients.

PSU art student resources:

We are offering a combination of in-person, hybrid, and remote classes this term.  Please select classes that match your comfort level with face-to-face interaction. For example, do not sign up for an in-person class if you only want to participate online. You will need your PSU ID card to access most buildings on campus.  Cards will generally work between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.  If you have issues accessing a building, please email Xavier Oberlander (xavier@pdx.edu) and cc your instructor.

Theatre Arts Production studio:

The Theatre Arts Production Studio (TAPS) features a large, state-of-the-art equipped scenic shop with adjacent properties shop and scenic paint studio. The costume shops, located in the Theatre and Production Studios (TAPS), include a main shop, where cutting and fitting is done, a millinery room, laundry and dying facilities, and a costume collection that exceeds a two-story warehouse-sized room. These shops are used as classrooms for graduate students and the undergraduate Theatre 160 costume crafts class, as well as for Pennsylvania Centre Stage productions. The costume shops and TAPS are located in the Academic Activities Building, which also houses the scene shops and light labs. Visit at Academic Activities Building, University Park. Available 24/7.

Musicians and music fans are both welcome. Bring along an item for donation to the State College Food Bank for free admission. Let’s learn more about music and help our community at the same time.
